The Broughton Trust Named Community Partner of the Year

The Broughton Trust has been named Community Partner of the Year 2026 at the Salford City College Adult Learning Awards, with two of our learners also winning individual awards. A proud moment celebrating our learners’ achievements and the dedication of our fantastic Learning Team.

We are incredibly proud to announce that The Broughton Trust has been named Community Partner of the Year 2026 at the Salford City College Adult Learning Awards.

It was an extraordinary celebration for Team Broughton, with two of our learners also receiving individual awards:

  • ESOL Learner of the Year
  • Community Learner of the Year

These awards recognise far more than success in the classroom. They celebrate the courage it can take to return to learning, the determination to keep going when something feels difficult and the confidence to step beyond what once felt possible.

We could not be prouder of our winning learners. Their achievements are entirely their own and reflect the effort, resilience and commitment they have shown throughout their learning journeys. They have embraced new opportunities, overcome challenges and shown just how powerful learning can be when people believe in themselves and are given the right encouragement.

They are wonderful examples of what can happen when somebody takes that first step—and an inspiration to other learners who may still be wondering whether learning is for them.

Being named Community Partner of the Year is also a well-deserved recognition of our fantastic Learning Team and the difference they make every day.

Our team does much more than deliver courses. They go the extra mile to ensure that every person who walks through our doors feels welcome, listened to and valued. They take time to understand each learner, provide practical and person-centred support and help people recognise their strengths, build confidence and take their next step.

They care deeply about what they do, and it shows.

Whether somebody is returning to learning after many years, improving their English, working towards a qualification or looking for a new direction, our team works tirelessly to make quality learning accessible and supportive, regardless of a person’s background or starting point.

These three awards reflect something we believe strongly at The Broughton Trust: learning works best when people feel that they belong, that somebody believes in them and that the support they receive is shaped around who they are.

To our award-winning learners: congratulations, this recognition could not be more deserved. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and grateful that we have been able to share part of your journey.

To every member of our Learning Team: thank you, congratulations and very well done. Your commitment, kindness and determination make a difference to hundreds of people across Salford every year.

Three awards, two inspirational learners and one remarkable team. There really is nobody quite like Team Broughton, and we could not be prouder of you all.
