Live Well at The Broughton Trust

Live Well at The Broughton Trust

Everyday support in every neighbourhood.

Live Well is Greater Manchester’s approach to making support easier to find, closer to home and shaped around what matters to local people. It is creating a network of welcoming, trusted community spaces where people can connect, take part and find practical support before problems become harder to manage.

The Broughton Trust is proud to be a Greater Manchester Live Well Space, rooted in Salford and open to anyone looking for new opportunities, useful support or more connection in their life.

What Live Well means here

Becoming a Greater Manchester Live Well Space matters deeply to us because it strengthens something The Broughton Trust has always believed: support works best when it is rooted in the community and shaped by the people who live there.

We want this to be a place where people feel they belong—somewhere to learn new skills, meet others, take part in free activities, have their voice heard and find support close to home. By listening to what our community tells us matters, responding wherever we can and working with local partners, we can create new opportunities, bring services into the heart of the community and connect people with wider support when they need it.

Live Well gives us a way to build that together: a welcoming, community-led space where a conversation can lead to practical help, new friendships, greater confidence or the next opportunity. Whatever brings you through our doors, you will be listened to, welcomed and helped to find a positive next step.

No wrong door

No wrong door means you do not need to know which service, programme or organisation to ask for before you come in. You can start with one conversation, in a familiar place, with somebody who will listen and help you work out what matters most.

In practice, that might mean joining an activity and later asking for advice; coming for employment support and being introduced to learning, wellbeing or money help; or being connected to a trusted partner when another organisation is better placed to help.

Wherever possible, we will help make that connection rather than simply handing you a telephone number and sending you away. We want you to have a clear next step and a familiar place to return to, without having to navigate a complicated system alone.
