Sure Start LogoThe aims and objectives of Sure Start is to work with parents-to-be, parents and children to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of babies and young children. Particularly those who are disadvantaged so that they can flourish at home and when they get to school, and thereby break the cycle of disadvantage for the current generation of young children.

The Trust employs 1 Surestart Development Worker, 2 Community Support Workers and 4 Sessional Workers.

Broughton SureStart offers a range of free services and activities for expectant mums and families/carers with children under five.

We can tell you about childcare provision in the area, training and jobs and put you in touch with a whole range of specially designed services to support parents with children under five years old in the Broughton area.

There is also a FREE toy and book library as well as lots of different sessions and events for you to enjoy.

We have 12 activities per week at 8 different community venues across Broughton during term time. We also provide other activities during the holidays. Some of the sessions we run are:
