The Broughton Trust’s Childminding Support Project

The growing childcare project has been running since September 2004 and its objectives are to increase the number of registered childminders in Broughton and increase the number of families accessing childcare provision. The project's aim is to work with the community to meet the project's objectives.

The Support Worker can assist in the following areas:

  • For those that are unsure about childminding and would like someone to talk to.
  • Support through the registration process.
  • Help getting information and booking on courses.
  • Opportunities to meet other childminders in your area.
  • Advice and support in setting up a childminding business.

There is also a childminder support group for childminders, whether they are registered, currently training or considering childminding.

It is an opportunity to meet other childminders working in the Broughton area, to share ideas, contacts and work together to raise the quality and image of childminders in Broughton. For details of the next meeting please call The Broughon Trust on 0161 708 0116 or our mobile on 0772 543 3380.

This is a Broughton Trust/Surestart project.
