The Migrants Project

Who is it for?
People who have moved from other countries to form part of an existing or a new community in Broughton or the surrounding area

Why?
To provide a focal point for migrants, providing access to information and links with services

What can it do?

  • compile information about migrant communities in the area
  • set up a database of agencies that provide services for migrants
  • bring together migrants and service providers by organising events or forums
  • work in co-operation with agencies and migrants to promote positive relations between communities within Broughton
  • identify and prioritise needs and make recommendations

How is it run?

  • Community-based work delivered by a Link Worker
  • Managed by the Broughton Trust Co-ordinator
  • Guided by a multi-agency advisory group, with representatives of migrant communities

Call any time from 9.30am – 5pm on Monday – Thursday
