Who is it for?
People who have moved from other countries to form part of an existing or a new community in Broughton or the surrounding area
Why?
To provide a focal point for migrants, providing access to information and links with services
What can it do?
- compile information about migrant communities in the area
- set up a database of agencies that provide services for migrants
- bring together migrants and service providers by organising events or forums
- work in co-operation with agencies and migrants to promote positive relations between communities within Broughton
- identify and prioritise needs and make recommendations
How is it run?
- Community-based work delivered by a Link Worker
- Managed by the Broughton Trust Co-ordinator
- Guided by a multi-agency advisory group, with representatives of migrant communities
