ESOL, Entry Level 3
This course was established in November 2004 and has gone from strength to strength. Learners are able to come to an evening course either on Mondays or Wednesdays at The Broughton Trust to improve their English skills.

Salsa Dancing
Our tutor, who has taught salsa all over the North West for a number of years, has been keeping Broughton residents fit on a weekly basis with steps, turns and spins. Her teaching style is relaxed, friendly and positive and new learners are always welcomed for this fun two hour session on Thursday afternoons.

Numeracy
It is surprising how quickly we lose our ability to work with numbers after our school days are done. Adults can come along and learn or re-learn in a non-school environment.

Basic Skills
This course is designed to help learners with basic writing and reading in a group setting. Students requiring additional help are signposted to the one to one sessions.

BBC Storytelling
Commencing in January 2006 this ten week course works with learners who have English as a second language. Students will learn how to tell a personal story, write and edit it into a short radio piece. Students will be treated to a day trip to the BBC, which also provides broadcast standard digital recording equipment. Resulting stories will hopefully feature on the BBC website.
