Trust Co-ordinator
Trust Assistant

The targets for the work include developing and supporting the various projects of The Broughton Trust and looking to establish the long term sustainability of the Trust.

The tasks involved include:

  • Line managing all staff and line managing the projects
  • Running the Payroll Calculation Service
  • Producing and circulating the Newsletter
  • Producing the Annual Report/ Accounts and Annual Review documents
  • Arranging events and activities, e.g. an International Women’s Day event, Albert Park Fun day
  • Liaison with local, citywide, regional and national networks

We aim to develop or support new job opportunities for local residents. We do this by working with others, and by running a series of short-term projects giving people training, experience, and skills. Several people have done this, and during 2003-04 a total of 32 people were employed by the Trust on various pieces of work.

We also want to start trading some of the skills in the Trust, to earn an income to help the Trust be independent and around for as long as it is needed. This is beginning with services like the pay calculation service, and the mentoring programme.

Collaboration and Partnership

The Trust works with a wide variety of organisations to deliver its outcomes and influence what happens in Broughton. The Trust was born out of a collaboration of individuals and organisations.

Here are a just a few organisations we work with or have worked with:

  • Sure Start
  • Various departments of Salford City Council
  • IVHA, Space and Contour Housing Associations
  • Learning & Skills council
  • Pendleton/Salford/Eccles College
