Employment Support Programme

Information Advice & Guidance

In 2011 the Trust was awarded "matrix" the national quality standard for information, advice and guidance for its services to the public. The assessor's reports said "IAG is a golden thread that permeates all the services of the Trust with staff providing a personalised, impartial service to youth and adult service users." and "The Broughton Trust delivers a high quality IAG service that is impartial, objective and empowering based upon motivational principles".

Vocational Courses

The Trust works with Salford City College to provide NVQ courses at Levels 2 and 3 in a range of vocational areas and helps students find suitable work placements. It provides study support in portfolio building. Courses at Level 2 are often free if the student has no previous Level 2 qualification.

Skills and Work Service

We have a close working relationship with the city's Skills and Work service. All Trust learners are given the opportunity for 1:1 interviews with Skills and Work, and they in turn often put job seekers in touch with the Trust to improve or develop their skills. The Trust runs drop-in sessions to support job-seekers develop CVs, write job applications or prepare for interviews.
