The Broughton Trust’s vision is a Broughton with a strong, empowered and safe community, where people have pride and opportunities for well-paid jobs and training, where children develop through play.The Broughton Trust aims to
- improve people’s quality of life
- Stimulate economic activity
- Deliver a sense of pride in the community
- Be a catalyst, supporting others who contribute to these aims
Some of our achievements to date
- Now support around 400 learners each year
- Between September 05 to Dec 08 the SureStart team had over 14,000 contacts with members of Broughton families
- Organise the Broughton Festival and Funday Community Event at Albert Park since 2001
- Won awards for our work in the community
- Helped raise funds for work with local groups
- Developed links with key partners on behalf of communities in Broughton
- Supported 14 New Childminders in Broughton
- Delivered 10 community research projects in Broughton
- Broughton Friends project supported many local families in their homes, at play group sessions and provided a signposting service
